A Chinese hongmu and burr wood stand, early 20th century, the petal shaped frieze carved with taotie masks, on five scroll supports jointed by a petal lobed stretcher and five shaped bracket feet, height 34.5cm

All the parts of the stand are present however where the joints have come loose it has been reglued together at a leaning angle so it will require the glue to be removed and reset in a more upright position, there is some occasional old filler around the carving of the ruyi heads on the join to the legs.
