A Chinese hardstone circular plaque and hongmu stand, early 20th century, the plaque decorated with peonies and rockwork in spinach green jade, jadeite, chalcedony, amethyst quartz, and other quartz, diameter 35.5cm, the stand carved and pierced with lotus flowers and scrolls, total height 62.5cm

There is a small section of stem missing around half way up on the tree branch with possibly a leaf missing in the area, there are a few abrasions and minor nicks around the very edge of the plaque, the wood stand has various sections which have come loose and been reglued, the arc shaped section which holds the hardstone plaque in position is made in two parts, the right hand section is split through some of the foliate fret work and is a little loose, otherwise in reasonable condition.
