A Chinese famille rose hexagonal baluster vase, Guangxu period, painted with a bird amid pink flowers and foliage and a calligraphic inscription, the neck with lion-dog handles, iron red seal mark beneath, 33cm.

There is wear to the gilding on the rim and handles, there is fritting / glaze loss to the edges of the vase and there is a 12mm x 10mm shallow chip to the one corner of the foot.
Wear to gilding, chips to enamel on ribbed sections. Chips to foot. Bubbling to enamel colours with some biscuit visible. Other typical minor flaws in the manufacture.
