A Chinese famille rose 'foreign ambassadors' dish, Qianlong - Jiaqing period, of leaf form, painted with foreign ambassador's holding gifts and with mythical beasts in a landscape, the border with eight emblems of the daoist immortals, width 29.5cm

The dish has wear to the gilding all over and there is some slight flaking to the green enamels of the rockwork to the right and lower left and some slight wear to some of the other enamels on the centre of the dish, otherwise in good condition.
