A Chinese famille rose 'Mandarin' part tea set, Qianlong period, each piece finely painted with figures amid pavilions in a river landscape, within cellular and bird and branch borders, comprising a teapot , cover and stand, covered milk jug, lobed dish, saucer, tea caddy and hotwater pot, height 18.5cm (9)

All pieces have minor firing and glaze imperfections to them, the teapot has slight wear to the gilding on the spout, handle, rim and knop finial, the teapot stand has some slight wear to the gilding on the edge and to the enamels where the teapot has sat inside the well. The sparrowbeak jug and cover again has areas of wear to the gilding to the handle, finial and edge, the tea caddy has a large section of the neck / rim lacking and a few hairline cracks to the same area and some wear to the gilding around the scrollwork base, the coffee pot / hot water jug is lacking its cover and has some heavy fritting / glaze losses around the rim, again some slight wear to the gilding on the wishbone shaped handle, the lozenge shaped dish has a splinter chip to the rim at the 10 o'clock position and there is some fine crazing to the glaze under the base which does not appear to go through to the painted surface above, the saucer has a large section of the rim broken and restuck with splinter losses around the area and old glue.
