A Chinese famille rose 'hawk' tea bowl and saucer, Yongzheng period,
of semi-eggshell porcelain, finely painted with a hawk in a tree, the border with peonies and fruiting branches on a black enamel cellular ground, there is also what appears to be a hand mirror with ribbon and tassel and the unusual use of silvering for the mirror plate,

Condition:
Provenance - UK private collection, gifted to the vendor's late mother by her aunt before 1970. A few minute nibbles to the edge of the tea bowl and saucer. There is also some slight wear to the gilding on the edge of the saucer. The tea bowl has a fine hairline cracking extending from the rim down through one of the reserves on the exterior, otherwise in good condition.
