A Chinese embroidered silk panel, 19th century, woven with a four character inscription, the figure of a woman and child, flowers and rockwork on an ivory ground, silk borders, 96cm x 57cm

The silk of the panel is a little undulating and creased in places, there is some slight discolouration to the ivory ground and there is some occasional unpicked threads to the four characters at the top, the face and hand of the female figure, some of the rockwork and flowers towards the base and some wear to the silk on the black banded butterfly borders, otherwise in reasonable condition, framed and glazed behind glass so we are unable to examine the back of the panel.
