A Chinese embroidered silk and kesi gauze ’dragon’ summer robe, late Qing dynasty, in kesi work with embroidered in silk gold wrapped thread with nine dragons amid scrolling clouds and auspicious objects above rocks waves and lishui stripes some alterations and unpicked threads

Condition:
Please note that most of the decoration is kesi work. There are large alterations to the collar and the fringe coming down from the collar, the original buttons have been removed and the are a couple of later buttons or fasteners. The lining is later and there are a large number of loose threads for the embroidery of the Dragons. Some occasional marks and stains to the material, the gauze on the shoulders and upper back is a little threadbare in places
