A Chinese cinnabar lacquer sexafoil box and cover, Qianlong / Jiaqing period, carved in high relief with a sage and a boy on a pavilion terrace over-looking a river landscape, width 16.2cm, slight damage

The cover has a chip loss and glue repair to the outside edge, some fine edge cracks and wear to the black lacquer on the interior. The box base has losses to the inner rim and a small chip to the bottom edge.
