A Chinese celadon jade and filigree work group of Buddha riding an elephant, early 20th century, total height 14.5cm, length 9.8cm

A Chinese celadon jade and filigree work group of Buddha riding an elephant, early 20th century, the seated figure of Buddha on a lotus throne and caparisoned elephant clasping a sprig of lingzhi fungus in its trunk, total height 14.5cm, length 9.8cm
Estimate £400-600

Head of the Buddha has a crack running from below the neck into the right arm, this does not appear to go through the piece, otherwise a little dirty and glued down into the enamelled lotus throne, main body of the elephant looks to be a different type of jade, numerous small pit marks showing across the piece, that look to be part of the stone rather than damage, silver gilt cagework a little loose, with some small strands missing to each side
