A Chinese export ivory bodkin case and a similar square pierced box, 19th century, the bodkin case carved in relief with figures and dragons, bearing the initials CP, 15.5cm, the box carved and pierced with birds and flowers, hinged cover, 7cm

The bodkin case cover is cracked top to bottom with some glue filler around the area and slight discolouration because of the old glue, the inner sleeve at the base of bodkin base has a fine crack to it otherwise good condition.
Box is complete but the joints have all been reglued and there is a very slight warp to the cover and some general grubbiness, otherwise good condition.
