Lot 217 , A Chinese blue and white baluster vase, Kangxi period, 41.5cm

A Chinese blue and white baluster vase, Kangxi period, 41.5cm

A Chinese blue and white baluster vase, Kangxi period, painted with phoenixes amid peonies and foliage below a ruyi border, associated 19th century cover, 41.5cm
Estimate £700-1,000

The vase has some scratching to the glaze all over and a shallow chip to the edge of the unglazed rim which is slightly smoothed off with age, it is possible the cover is associated, difficult to say if it is Kangxi period or a 19th century copy but it is in good condition.
