A Chinese blue and white ‘dragon’ dish, Kangxi mark, 19th century, finely painted with a central confronting dragon surrounding a flaming pearl, flanked by two further dragons amid clouds and flames, the underside with six character Kangxi mark within a double circle, surrounded by five bats, 36.5cm across, dish slightly misshapen

Condition:
Provenance- this dish has been in the owner’s family for more than 60 years and was probably bought back from the Far East by a Great Uncle who was a merchant seaman. Small chip to the edge of the dish, slightly misshapen in the firing, typical minor glaze imperfections, otherwise in good condition.
