A Chinese archaistic pale celadon jade 'bi' disc, 17th/18th century, the jade of oval form the border carved in openwork with two chilong and young, the stone with some pale inclusions, later mounted on a fretwork rosewood panel, Jade 8.3cm, frame 11cm x 12cm

The jade has some natural paler inclusions and veining to the stone, there are some slightly darker areas to the stone around the very edge of the disc, the disc is glued to the wood panel so we are unable to examine the back edge and back of the disc so any purchase is at the buyers risk, the carved wood surround appears to be in reasonable condition, no restoration chips or cracks detected.
