A Chinese archaistic gold splashed bronze censer, Fang ding, 19th century, in imitation of a Western Zhou dynasty vessel, cast in relief with stylised mythical beasts on four zoomorphic feet, pierced wood cover, lacking finial, width 16.5cm height 20cm

Incense burner has minor scuffs and scratches to the very edges of the raised areas otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks, the wood cover has incised letters on the underside, a few minor chips on the underside edge and is missing its finial.
