A Chinese apricot silk robe, mid 19th century,
embroidered in polychrome silk and Beijing knot with butterfly, flower and scrolling tendril roundels, above a lishui stripe

Condition:
There is some wear and fraying around the collar and button loops with some evidence of some re-stitching. There is some staining to small patches notably on the back and some unpicked threads evident halfway down to the back of the robe. There are some also some gaps gaps in the stitching on the join the centre of the front and some slight fading to the apricot ground in places (please see images) otherwise in reasonable condition.
