A Chinese amber boulder carving, Qing dynasty, carved in high relief with two deer and a faun beside rockwork and a pine tree, the amber with opaque dark inclusions to large areas and internal age crizzling, height 7.5cm

Provenance: by family repute formerly in the Arthur Flynn collection, purchased from Bluett's before 1980.


There are a number of opaque dark inclusions to the amber and there are some occasional small internal fractures to the amber otherwise the carving appears in reasonable condition with no chips or losses.
