Lot 28 , A Chinese Ming blue and white saucer dish, 16th century
A Chinese Ming blue and white saucer dish, 16th century, the centre painted with a seated immortal and attendant on a rocky outcrop overlooking a river landscape, the underside with a border of horses running in a continuous landscape, 20.4 cm diameter, minor faults
£300-500
Condition:
Typical minor glaze imperfections, occasional scratching and minor scuffs to the glaze, a few tiny nibbles and some fritting to the glaze around the edge, slightly warped in manufacture, in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks detected. In our opinion this dish has not come from a shipwreck as the glaze is glossy except for the wear in small areas.
