A Chinese Ming Ko-Sometsuke wucai dish, Tianqi mark and period, 1621-1627, made for the Japanese market and painted with the figure of an immortal on a cloud in underglaze blue with an inscription to the right and enamelled in iron red, yellow and green with foliage, sprigging to the underside, Diam.15cm

The dish has a crackle to the glaze all over with some light staining to the right side. There is kiln grit on both sides of the foot. The dish does not ring, otherwise in good condition.
