A Chinese 'Hundred Bird' embroidered silk table screen, late 19th century, the panel finely embroidered with birds amid trees and rockwork on an ivory satin ground, 43 x 36cm, with a hongmu foliate pierced frame and matching separate stand with 'Buddhist lion' shaped feet, Total size 72.5 x 56cm

The embroidered panel itself has some light discolouration to the ivory ground around the edges, it is possible that some of the colours of the embroidered silk are slightly faded. The surrounding frame for the embroidered panel has some slight damage to the fretwork, lower left with evidence of some glue to the joints and the stand in which it sits has a slight split in one of the uprights and the two fretted brackets at the front, next to the lions heads have both been broken and re-glued. Other typical shrinkage and minor faults to the timber, otherwise in reasonable condition
