A Charles 1 Sussex provincial silver seal top spoon by William Dobson, Lewes circa 1630, with gilded terminal, fleur-de-lys mark stamped twice and maker's mark on stem, (reference, Kent. T. Sussex Silver and it's Makers, J.H Bourdon-Smith Ltd 2002, p.25), 6.25in, 40 grams.

Some of the gilding has worn away around the finial. Apart from some light surface scratches and nicks to the spoon in general, conducive with age, the spoon is in good condition. Maker's mark clear but the two fleur de lis marks are a little rubbed.
