A 20th century Indian patchwork hanging, designed in golds and browns using patchwork batik, beadwork and metallic embroidery, each bordered with thick silk strands bound together, the hanging then bordered with gold metallic silk, with the hanging there is a pelmet of purple strips of silk damask and coarse metallic braiding, with a long gold metallic fringe / edging, hanging 176cm long, 97cm wide

Condition:
The hanging has stains where the batik dye has bled into other patchwork areas and the gold border, there are other marks on various borders, there are no rips, the backing is good, the pelmet looks to have never been used.
