A 19th century carved pine figure of St. Jerome reading from the bible with a lion at his feet, 32cm wide, 79cm high

Condition:
Some variation of colour from a dark black tone down to a reddish lighter colouring through his lower robes on the tips of the rubbed extremities, several sections missing from the hat, a section of rope missing from the hat to his neck, looks to have once been holding a staff which is now missing along with fingers from that hand, some worm holes lower down along with smaller chips and losses around the base, a few old nails hammered into the back.
