A 19th century Uzbekistan Suzani, hand embroidered hanging. Made from hand woven linen panels each approximately 28cm wide x 167cm long. Hand embroidered with silk hand dyed threads, in orange, red, blue and yellows, using a fine chain stitch to create bold Tree of Life and Botha motifs in ornate borders. Part of the bride’s dowry. Condition - there are a few tears in places but the colours are strong.
