A 19th century French ormolu framed enamel plaque, depicting a 17th century explorer standing wearing a suit of armour with shipping beyond, housed in a foliate scroll and ribbon tied frame, width 17cm overall height 21.5cm

Enamel plaque a little dirty, 14 x 11.5cm, slightly loose in the frame, frame now a rather dull bronzed finish with some small paint splashes, no inscriptions or marking to the reverse.
