A 19th century French ivory fan, the pierced sticks with gold and silver decoration and set with paste stones, the leaf painted with central figural cartouche and decorated with coloured sequins, 11.5in. with a J. Duvelleroy box

Please note this fan appears to be ivory and not bone, the sticks appear to be in reasonable condition, with minor loss to some of the sequins, general fading and minor loss to the gold and silver painted decoration, there are some minor splits along the folds of the leaf as expected, general fading and discolouration in places, possibly re-stuck to the pigskin backing, other general minor wear to gilt painted areas, generally reasonable.
