A 19th century French carved ivory boudoir timepiece, the circular dial with Roman numerals, the case mounted with a winged cherub within a leafy C scroll, on a pierced scrolling support and circular base, 6.5in.

One hairline crack running through the front door which has been glued shut, trace of glue at 6 o'clock on the edge, door cannot now be opened, hands in good condition and look original, some yellow marking on the dials near 10 o'clock which looks like traces of glue, right side foliate scroll beside the latch has two cracks running through it probably been broken away and re-stuck, remainder of case is in good condition with the exception of the back door panel, equally which seems fixed and has a crescent shaped crack running through one side, as door is stuck shut we have not been able to examine or test the movement. Weight indicates that it is still present.
