A 19th century French bronze mounted Sienna marble mantel clock, modelled with a figure of a classical woman leaning against a pillar, gilt brass dial marked Fabrege a Montpellier, within a serpent bezel, unsigned silver suspension movement, 26in.

Some light polishing wear to the raised parts of the bronze lady but overall still retaining a dark brown patination, otherwise a little dusty and dirty, two hairline cracks running front to back through the top of the arched marble case, some light wear showing to the dial which looks as if much of the gilding has been rubbed away along with some of the enamelling of the numerals, hands original, slightly oxidised, minor nicks and dents to the edges of the rectangular stepped plinth, along with a few fine hairline cracks, movement clean and complete but not tested for timekeeping, comes with a pendulum and key.
