A 19th century French Empire style ormolu mantel clock, surmounted with a figure of a musician and musical trophies, unsigned silk suspension movement, 14.5in.

Ormolu case retains good original bright and matted gilt finish, staff with the laurel wreath pennant looks to have a replacement stem, certinaly it is of a dull bronze finish rather than gilt like the rest of the clock, music stand rather loose and wobbly but appears complete, dial a little dirty with hairline cracks near 3, 5 and 7 o'clock, plinth with dirt spotting, hands look original, slightly oxidised, silk suspension movement very dirty and grubby and not running, but appears complete, comes with pendulum but no key.
