A 19th century Black Forest mahogany mantel clock with automaton and cuckoo, with enamelled Roman dial and plinth panel depicting two hounds with moving eyes, 17.5in.

Case of good original even colour, door to cuckoo looks like hardened card or leather and is a little rubbed and is held shut with bluetac, some dents around the bezel to the dial, dial with surface scratches and spotting, wooden surround to dial has four vertical splits, movement ticks but not tested for timekeeping, automaton eyes are driven by a connection to the pendulum, operation of cuckoo looks to be complete but not currently going.
