The top has seen some fading from front to back with the front being a very pale tone, the back of the top becoming steadily richer in colour but not as dark as the rest of the piece which from raised back to all of the underframe has a very dark brown reddish tone, otherwise condition looks to be very good with no sign of any losses to the carved back frieze and all of the other carving looking to be intact, the central drop vineous cluster in the centre of the frieze is in two pieces and may be a repair or has possibly been made that way, central X stretcher shows a crack running through the front left section which looks to be an old repair, back sections and right side look to be original, some wear to all of the feet with some cracking running vertically upwards through three of the four feet, but overall in honest original condition.
