A 1930's Hermes of Paris crocodile handbag, with pale brown leather interior stamped Hermes Paris, 24FG St Honore, and velvet lined base compartment, locks and catches stamped Hermes Paris, 10.5 x 9.5 x 5.5in.

Wear to the gilding on the metal work particularly the two sliding catches and the lugs for the handle, some of the original matted gilding still remaining on the central lock which has a push button to operate the opening and to the catch to the base, a little wear and rubbing around the edges of the main handle, and light rubbing to the edges of the bag itself, scales all good, gussets intact. Retains original brass feet again with slight rubbing, interior in very good order, signed Hermes Paris 24 Faubg St Honore, stamped with the same address into the leather with Made in France below that, lower section lined with an original pale golden velvet lining, overall very good condition for age, comes with a later Hermes slip case.
