Condition:
There is natural veining and inclusions to the stone. There is a shallow splinter chip to the right peak of the carving, otherwise the carving is in good condition. The stand has a few losses to the carving and a split to one side otherwise in reasonable condition. Provenance - Mr W G Pullen (d.1994), former Deputy Chairman of Standard and Chartered Banking Group Ltd. and of the Asian section of the British National Export Council. His banking career spanned 1925 to 1974 in which he spent much time in Hong Kong and Malaysia.
