Provenance - Alfred Theodore Arber-Cooke (c.1910-1993); thence by family descent. Arber-Cooke lived in Carmarthenshire, Wales and was an avid collector of European & Asian works of art and an author of the History of Llandovery. He was collecting from the 1940s to the 1980s.

The canvas is very dry with surface cracking especially over the head with a band of paint loss across top.
