Oil on a very high quality mahogany panel which remains true and flat, one or two light surface scuff marks to the paint and some signs of an old but stable craquelure particularly in the black of her dress but other than that no faults noted, looks to have been cleaned and revarnished within recent years, comes in a highly ornate gilt gesso frame which suffers some damage to both left corners. Label verso for F G Conzen of Dusseldorf.
