Oil on canvas with a very old reline, canvas remains tight, and overall this painting looks to be in good condition perhaps just needing a light clean, some fine but stable craquelure throughout, a little light cracking just above his right eyebrow but essentially good order, housed in an old giltwood frame that has had a few knocks, dents and retouched areas.
