Oil on old oak panel which has relatively recent reinforcements to a horizontal split which has been retouched to a reasonable effect but is still clearly noticeable when viewed from the front, otherwise paint is rather dark and dirty, probably a little rubbed from cleaning in the past, as well as the central split there is another 8 inch crack running inwards from the lower right hand corner, no sign of any signature or inscription, a little chipped around the edges, unframed.
