The following six lots by John Tunnard have been seen by Brian Whitton and dated to c.1952 / 1953.

Brian Whitton has told us... "I did buy one of the set from him on the assumption that it is likely, but am keen to avoid any confusion, as am currently updating the Tunnard catalogue (hopefully, approaching a catalogue raisonée) two of us wrote in 1997. The ones you have for auction will be included in the list as "Probably by Tunnard, but not confirmed".
