Very good untouched condition, original canvas with fair impasto to the paint, slightly dull finish to the paint which does not appear to have ever been varnished, two very small lines of cracking showing in the sea at 2 o'clock, each a vertical crack approx 0.75 inch long, otherwise no faults noted, signed lower left, under glass in a plain parcel gilt and painted frame, one label on the stretcher for James Bourlet which may imply that this once sent for exhibition but no other exhibition labels are showing.
