Youth, a life size sculpture originally commissioned for the WHO Building, New Delhi,
H.65in., illustrated Karin Jonzen Sculptor, Bachman & Turner 1976 plate 41
Estimate £800-1,200

A fair amount of flaking to the bronzed finish leaving the white composite r to show through from beneath, a line of separation showing through his right shoulder where the arm was jointed to the torso, otherwise rather dirty and dusty but overall good honest condition, the piece is heavy and would take two strong men to lift it. Thought to have been made as an indoor work as weathering would have a damaging effect upon the finish.
