Top showing some old separations where timbers join, along with old dents and scratches commensurate with age, underframe in better condition with some old rubbings to the balusters, stretchers heavily worn and almost certainly lacking original feet, where there is clearly a fair amount of old wear, since then the piece has been repolished to a mid dark brown even tone albeit with some lighter colouring to the top due to wear and sunlight.
