An early 19th century mahogany eight day longcase clock, the case of characteristic form with break arch hood and stop fluted quarter columns to the trunk over a plinth base, the 12 inch brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring beneath the signed arch with moonphase and age of moon, the foliate engraved centre with subsidiary seconds and calendar aperture, the two train weight driven movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell, the T shaped front plate secured to the backplate by five knopped pillars, H.7ft 1.5in.

The hood probably lacks a pagoda caddy, the three brass finials are later, the central finials lacks its block, the case is overall in good condition with some knocks and bruises commensurate with age and useage, the right hand side does have a series of old deep scratches, the trunk door has a section of the moulding lacking to the top right side of the door, the cheeks have been reduced and the back door is split and lacks it back left shoulder section behind the hood, the seat board appears original and is missing part of the rear left side, the dial is in good order apart from the usual radial wear to the chapter ring, the chapter ring, the dial centre and moonphase all appear to have been re-silvered, the hour and minute hand are good, the seconds hand a repair, the movement is polished and functions, it may require a service, the gut lines have been replaced with wire, two brass lined weights and pendulum are present.
