A Chinese export famille verte oval barber's bowl, Kangxi period, painted with birds amid flowers and foliage and a landscape to the border, floral sprigs to the underside, width 35.5cm, faults

There are numerous areas of flaking to the glaze on the broad rim and to the well, there is wear to iron red enamel in the well, there are two chip losses to the rim at the 12 o'clock position when the cut out for the neck is at 6 o'clock with some old discoloured restoration around the area, fritting around the edge, no cracks detected.
