A Chinese wucai ovoid jar and cover, late 17th century, painted with tree shrews amid grapes and foliage, labels for George Eumorfopoulos collection, 37.5cm, some damage

The vase has three small star cracks to the shoulder which are really only visible on the interior, there is also a hairline crack extending from just below the shoulder to just above the foot, measuring approx. 16cm., this is very feint on the exterior but obvious on the interior, there are George Eumorfopoulos collection labels to the foot and a partial to the interior of the neck and a label to the underside of the cover, the cover has a few typical shallow glaze chips / losses around the edge, a few are slightly deeper nibbles to the edge, there is general wear and scuffing to the glaze all over.
