This piece has seen fairly extensive restoration 10 - 20 years ago or so, the finials and blocks that they stand upon look to be replacements, body overall has been repolished with various small repairs to old splits dents and cracks but no individual major repair noted, old filled and repaired splits to the left and right sides, more on the top than the bottom, key works the lock, mirrors look old but not original, drop down flap doors at the top of the interior look to be later alterations, drawer linings are all in oak and look to be in good clean condition, handles are original, fall front section is retained by two hooks - this looks to be adapted and quite probably the secretaire is a later adaption, minor dents and nicks around the base plinth, later bun feet, overall this piece looks to have seen some fairly significant adaption and changes over the years and should not be viewed as 100% original, however condition is good.
