A Japanese bronze model of a cockerel, Meiji period, with coloured face and gilt plumage, three character seal mark to underside of cockerel, on a naturalistic carved wood stand, total height 39cm, loss to one tail feather

There are losses to the two tail feathers, one high up on the feather and the other right on the tip of the tail feather, please see photographs at www.gorringes.co.uk
The wood base of the model is a little bleached out in colour as evident by the ebonising beneath, there are also age cracks to the wood, mostly visible from beneath.
