A Chinese Longquan celadon dish, Ming dynasty, c.1400, the centre moulded with a lotus flower and leaves within a fluted cavetto and petal lobed rim, burnt orange ring to the underside, diameter 35cm

Typically there is some wear and fine scratching to the glaze all over, there area a few unglazed patches where the biscuit exposed has turned burnt orange red to the interior of the cavetto and to the underside of the outer barbed rim and obviously the foot rim on the base and in the centre of the base, there are other minor manufacturing blemishes to the glaze otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks, the dish has as good ring to it.
