The only boxing scene by Rabin to record a particular match - the world heavyweight title fight between Jack Dempsey and Jess Willard at Toledo, USA, in 1919.

Condition:
Honest untouched condition, thickly applied crayon has some craquelure running throughout and possibly some small losses although it may will be the artist intention to have left some ground untouched. Signed lower right. Under glass in a modern silvered wood frame. Label verso ‘No.38 Toledo Massacre’. Comes with various ephemera relating to its purchase from the original exhibition. Craquelure shows below the extended arm of the boxer throwing the punch and above the back of the ducking boxer.
