A good William IV 18ct gold rectangular snuff box by John Linnet, London, 1833, with engraved crest and bright cut engraved foliate scroll decoration on a textured background, 77mm, 145 grams, with interior inscription to the lid ' Presented by the Officers of the 48th Regt. to James O'Keeffe Esq. late paymaster of the Regt. as a token of friendship and esteem'.

Some very minor surface scratches to the lid interior and the hinge pin is protruding slightly at one end, otherwise in overall very good condition. Hallmarks clear but with some rubbing to '18'.
