A late 17th century Dutch walnut candle stand, with floral marquetry decorated top and barley twist stem, on scrolled tripod, W.11in. H.2ft 8in. (later modification)

Overall a good dark rich coffee colour, slightly lighter across the top, top is probably entirely later and inlaid with floral marquetry. Stem and tripod look to be original, signs of old worming with old repairs to two of the feet which have both been cracked through at some point.
